Area AttractionsAdare Adare, steeped in history, is set in the rich Golden Vale with ancient churches, world renowned thatched cottages and many ruins strewn along the banks of the majestic river Maigue. A trip to the Adare Heritage Centre is a must for any history enthusiast, where a wide array of Craft Shops, Heraldry Information and a historical tour all wait to be explored. Adare Heritage Centre also organises guided tours of Adare. Shopping in Adare is an experience with the streets lined with enchanting thatched cottages, selling Crafts, Fashions and Antiques. Adare is home to fashion designer Michaelina Stacpoole, whose fashions can be viewed in her shop on the main street. Adare and the surrounding area boasts a wide variety of attractions and activities: Golf is available at a choice of 7 courses locally, including the Robert Trent Jones Designed Adare Hotel Golf Course & the Adare Manor Golf Club. Equestrian activities are the order of the day at The Clonshire Equestrian & Polo Center, just outside the village.
