A 3 minute walk from the City Centre. The hotel towers on a hill over Auckland City and Harbour. Conveniently located on the edge of the downtown business, shopping and entertainment district adjacent to Albert Park and Auckland University. 10.5 miles (17km) approx 30 mins drive from airport. Train Station is .5 KM (5min).
Driving Directions:
Turn left out of George Boult Drive and follow signs along State Highway 20 North. Take the Pah Road turn-off, turn right into Pah Road and follow right through the Broadway Shopping Centre. Turn left at Khyber Pass, at the top of Khyber Pass turn right onto Symonds Street. Go along Symonds Street past the university and Turn left onto Waterloo Quadrant the Hotel is approximately 200 metres on the right.

Food was good staff was helpful. 
Hotel was old. Hotel is old, desperately needs refurbished. Staff very good and food excellent, but I would avoid, rooms were dank and had an off odor, possibly age related. Building is OLD.

The newer wing of the hotel was definitely the best, and I now understand why they are renovating the complete hotel. The breakfast/dinner area needs a face lift, nothing really attractive. The hotel is located next to Albert Park, a beautiful location for a short walk, in and around the park, and an easy walk into the main part of town where you will find many stores. Good location, clean. Nice room. Business center is small. This is a nice place to spend a couple of days. Clean rooms, great staff and easy walk to town.

The staff was very friendly. There wasn't anything that I disliked enough to mention. This hotel was convenient to the downtown area and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. We had no complaints.

It overlooked the harbor. It is one of the older hotels. The hotel being one of the older hotels in town had a few areas that needed a little refreshing. The rooms were fine and the location was ok, not in the center of everything. All in all, it was a good experience.
