Driving Directions: Bathurst an easy 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Sydney, heading west via the Blue Mountains and Lithgow. You can also fly from Sydney to Bathurst a time of 20 minutes. There is a daily XPT train service to/from Sydney operated by Country Link and they also run extra services throughout the day that involve train from Sydney to Lithgow and a bus journey to Bathurst.
