We wanted to shop so location was great for walking to shops.
They did not offer complimentary coffee/tea in room, it was part of mini bar.
This was my first 'boutique' hotel experience, and although the location was great I would not rate it a 4 star hotel. They did allow early check-in for us which was very helpful.

Old rooms - new beds - dirty, not polite, not hospitable, broken outlets, water damage, etc.
We had broken outlets, dirty sheets, water damage, impolite service - when we asked for clean sheets since our were clearly dirty and not cleaned we seemed as an inconvenience.

Loved the contemporary decor and food.
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel for couples especially. It is very upscale. The rooms are beautiful as well as the roof top bar. I found it to be romantic. The bar staff and waiters / waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating. Loved it!

When we were checking in they offered free food and massages for people participating in the Chicago Marathon.

Windows were old and let air in.
