The Majestic Hotel affords the tranquility and dignity of a refined English country estate amidst the bustling, energetic city life of Chicago. A restful retreat for any weary traveler, the lobby features individually crafted furnishings that are upholstered in rich chenille and tapestry fabrics. The informal seating design makes for a warm and inviting residential coziness, allowing one a quite hideaway to engage in conversation or to simply enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while reading the morning newspaper. Warm wood paneling, intimate lighting and a fireplace accented with brass accessories add to the Majestic?s Old World grace and elegance. Many of the guest rooms offer a separate sitting room and feature two different color schemes: one of violet and honey-gold with green accents and the other of green and honey-gold with rust accents. For business travelers, there are spacious workstations with wireless or data ports. Six guest rooms feature a sunroom with a armoire, love seat and a wing chair; guests can bathe in the sunlight that streams through the large bay windows and enjoy the seasonal view of Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. It was nice close to Wrigley Field, but not too close.No restaurant in the facility.Continental breakfast was fair. Beautiful old building. Window air conditioning didn't work really well. Everything else was well maintained and comfortable. Well groomed. Nice staff. I would stay here again.

Location of this hotel was fantastic. We went to Wrigley.The parking was a little far.We were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms were clean and attractive. The hotel is within walking distance to lake and Wrigley. It is very quaint and quiet. They also have a continental breakfast.

Very nice linens on the bed and nice towels.No fruit on the breakfast buffet.Excellent location, especially for a Cubs game, or for visiting Lincoln Park. It had traditional charm.Parking was 3 blocks away. Problem if it was raining, cold or snowing.Looks like a favorite of Cubs fans. Easy walking distance to Wrigley Field. It is also a half block off Lake Shore Drive.
