for the price paid I thought the general standards of the hotel were excellent. Good value for money.

no non-smoking room available even though we reqested one.
we would stay again at this hotel as long as the price stays competitive.

No instructions on use of equipment in bedroom; short of staff on check-in
Hotel conveniently placed near to the A12; very good value for money; modern so not for someone wanting old world charm, but ideal for the business traveller

Unable to order a bottle of wine in the bar - you have to walk to the restaurant to place the order - which is then delivered to the bar. Crazy system. Unhelpful lady behind the bar.

The excellent leisure centre and bar, and good, well cooked English breakfast
The room would benefit from updating. In particular the double bed was unbelievably lumpy and uncomfortable
All been said above, but I should say that our companions in a twin room found their beds very comfortable. Reception was very efficient and helpful, both at the hotel and the leisure centre and staff generally were very attentive and cheerful.

the overall experience was good but the hotel is let down by poor staff in bar and restaurant areas although the food was good.

Would use this hotel group again but would like them to train their staff better and attend to small things ie; tissues in bathroom.
