Was pleased with the accommodations and ease of returning to highways for travel. Not that pleased or didn't find local restaurants close to hotel.

Overall Rating:
The view of the Pacific Ocean from the balcony.
Some of the funky landscape and garden accessories.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again - it's close to town to walk to dining and shops - parking is fine - rooms very clean and comfortable - staff very nice and helpful!

Excellent view from balcony of room.
Failure to repair malfunctioning air conditioner.
Entrance and exits are breathtaking. Ocean view from third floor is excellent. Landscaping is gorgeous. Failure to repair air conditioner disappointed us.

Gave me a quaint warm feeling.
Had some construction.
I only stayed for one night but the room was well stocked with toiletries and coffee. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful by providing directions to a nearby theatre. Overall I enjoyed my experience there.

The breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. The rooms where always clean.
To get to the ocean and the restaurants you have to be good by foot.
Overall it was a very nice hotel in a real nice location. Del mar is beautiful. The beach sand is black, but still very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good with a view of the ocean while you eat. The beach is not that ...Read More

Great location at this price.
No frig in my room.
Walking distance to Del Mar shops, restaurants, and the beach. For this location and this price, I don't think you can do better.
Excellent service, friendly, helpful staff, and a familiar atmosphere. 
Noisy machines (AC, washing machines, dryers, etc).
