Durango has been a bustling railroad town since the 1880s and today you can still ride the historic steam train from downtown, just a short drive from the Super 8, through the beautiful San Juan Mountains, to the quaint mining town of Silverton. If you are looking for a little more excitement, you can swoosh down the slopes of the nearby Durango Mountain ski resort in the winter, raft the raging Animas River during the spring snow melt, or golf in the lushness of a high mountain summer at the famous Hillcrest golf course. You can finish your day by enjoying a delicious meal in any of the town's excellent restaurants and then return to your comfortable room for a good nights rest. The next morning, to speed you on your way, we provide coffee makers in all our rooms so that you can have your first cup as soon as you wake up. Clean, quiet, orderly, polite, reasonable, and budget conscious.
Too near highway, not close to good restaurants.Modest hotel for budget conscious travelers who nevertheless expect a good value, clean, convenient, and a good nights sleep.

N/ARoom cold, heater was not working well. Water not hot for shower or sink.The room was very cold, heater not working well. Shower and sink water had to run way to long to get heated up, and still didn't get that hot.

Staff was helpful in making a room change due to road construction noise.Road construction going on 50 yards away at night; main highway 50 yards away.The basics for a place to stay. No microwave, refrigerator, no hot tub or swimming pool. Not the best matress.

Friendly staff.No fridge in room, wish we'd had 4 big towels to start.Very friendly helpful staff. Good enough overall I would stay again. Nothing.The room smelled badly of smoke. Itched all night from something on or in it. Said they were all booked up, could not give us another room.It was dirty and smelled of smoke. I had to run to the store and get some fabreze to get rid of the smell. Bed sheets made you itch all night. When we checked out and told them of the situation all they could do was apologize.
