Location Description:
Scotlands proud capital city is rich in historic buildings and storied national monuments with strong royal connections. Edinburgh Castle, which houses the Stone of Destiny, has served as a fortress since the first century AD. In the Middle Ages Edinburgh became Scotlands chief royal castle and impressive buildings were constructed, including the 12th century St Margarets Chapel, the oldest building in Edinburgh. Step out from the splendour of the hotel directly into the heart of a unique and magnificent World Heritage Site. In 1995 UNESCO recognised the unique character of Edinburgh with its medieval Old Town sitting in immediate contrast above its planned eighteenth century New Town.
