The hotel is ideally located just 6 miles off major Interstate I-95 at exit 2 which runs North and South from Boston up to Maine. It is also right off of Route 101 at Exit 11. Route 101 is the major connecting route from Manchester and the White Mountains to the seacoast of New Hampshire. The hotel is 51 miles from Boston Logan Airport and 30 miles from the Manchester/Boston Airport which makes traveling into the state of New Hampshire very convenient. The property is a short walk to the center of the town of Exeter. The Squamscott River runs through Exeter and can be enjoyed while dining at one of many fine restaurants that look upon the river and waterfall. Exeter has many fine independent shops of boutiques. It is a short walk to Phillips Exeter Academy where one can lounge in the expansive parks or sight see the award winning architecture. Also within walking is Swasey Park that is right next to the Squamscott River. During the spring summer and fall seasons a Farmer*s Market brings local produce and products into town. The historical houses of Exeter could be an all day adventure - either walking or driving. The American Independence Museum is also within walking distance. The American Independence Museum Festival is an annual event in July. The Rinks of Exeter is a state of the art Ice Rink that opens to the public on a regular basis. The hotel is minutes from the Exeter Country Club for golf driving range and putting green. The golf club is one of the 100 oldest courses in the nation.
