The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help me.If you did not valet there was only street parking and it would have been hard to find.The Tremont was a lovely hotel. Romantic, valet service was excellent, piano/singer fantastic, most comfortable bed even though we prefer a king size - the queen size was terrific.Staff could have been friendlier, no one offered to carry luggage, bartenders were nice but distracted by guests watching football game.Next time we can hopefully stay longer. Strand is coming along nicely. I saw it in January 09 when there was only 1 store open and vowed to continue to come to Galveston on vacation. I feel a sense of loyalty to the island. The spacious rooms.N/AVery clean and quaint. Beautiful rooms, spacious bathrooms, remodeled lobby, loved the heated towel rack. Definitely a 4 star hotel.
