Superb hotel built in 1854 on the citys ancient fortifications- the Swissotel Metropole Geneva is ideally located in the heart of the business and shopping districts and overlooking the lake. It is the only ldeluxe hotel of the left bank of Geneva Lake. The 127 rooms and suites have been renovated and equipped with the latest amenities such as espresso machine and communication tools such as Wifi and Ipod docking station. All the accommodations are air-conditioned- tastefully decorated and many have a nice lake view. The hotel also includes a fitness centre- a business centre and wireless high-speed Internet connection is available in all public spaces. The restaurant Le Grand Quai features a contemporary decor and an authentic cuisine in a cosy and inviting setting.
