Good front desk service, limited service courtesy bus.
Very old hotel in area we stayed.
Ok Hotel but does not fit the standard set by other 4 or even 3 star hotels in Japan. It appears to be of average US 4 star standards. Breakfast Buffet just Ok. Need the Courtesy bus as it is a Cab ride from any where in the city unless you want 20-30 min...Read More

Excellent amenities and level of service.
Charging $8/day for internet.
The hotel amenities were excellent and level of service faultless. The free shuttle bus that ran every 30 minutes and stopped at the bus and subway stations as well as the JR station made a good start for sightseeing within the city. Although we did not u...Read More

Great views, friendly and helpful staff, kid friendly.
Lack of nightlife - the only bar open had a $9 cover charge and $16 drinks.
Top class hotel. They had a kid room with a pool table (although the walls are too close to the table), video games, and a play set for younger kids. The hotel provides free drinks for the children too. The adults are not forgotten either. There are 8 res...Read More

"Heavenly bed" the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Subway was outside the front door. Staff super helpful... Wonderful experience!
The free shuttle to the train station was sometimes overcrowded , could be a problem if you have a train to catch.
This hotel was a delight from the beginning to the end of our stay. The staff apologized profusely for the fact we had to wait five minutes for the bed to be cleared of down and feather due to an allergy! In the US we would have waited all day for that......Read More

Free Gym and sauna, free luggage hold in Kyoto
Shuttle stops running at 6:30pm and restaurants and shops are expensive
Wow, this hotel was really nice. However, I believe you have to order the deluxe room (pillow top) instead of the standard. I was upgraded without having to pay the exorbitant price so lucky me. The room I had faced the garden in the center of the hotel.
