My room opened directly to the pool area through a back door.
Hotel had additions that require 2 elevator changes to get to 2nd floor.
This hotel while convenient to my destination was essentially dirty. It was an old building that showed it's age. There was an addition that required 2 separate elevators to reach the second floor if you used a cart to move your bags to the room. The desk...Read More

When we asked to moved to a cleaner room the staff did so with out hassle.
There was another person who also may have.
There are other hotels in the Lakeland area that seem a bit better for families.

We were thrilled when we checked out and the nightmare ended!
The hotel partied until 4AM. Dirty!
This hotel group (SouthBeachGroup) is the worst hotel and should not even have a star rating. They do offer a spa, restaurant and bar, but all the extras are horrible! You must have someone stay the full night because it is at night that the demons come o...Read More

Friendly.
Smelled like cigarette smoke.
Needs renovation.

The room itself (furniture) was nice, pool very clean.
Strong cigarette smell throughout halls, Staff extremely unhelpful and un-courteous.
The rooms and decor are in line with two star standards, but it is impossible to get away from strong cigarette odors. The beds are not as comfortable as other Holiday Inns Amenities like refrigerators or microwaves are located in random room and staff un...Read More

Helpful staff. Clean surroundings.
Hard to see narrow entrance drive.
The entrance to this hotel experience needs work. It is not well defined. It is very narrow. The drive needs repair. A poor first impression can set up everything in a bad light. It is excellent.

The location was nice, and the room was very clean.
The restaurant was more like a unkept cafeteria.
If you are traveling on business and need just a place to rest and relax this is a good hotel. If you're wanting to have all the extras like good food, nice clean inviting restaurants, pool, exercise area then I wouldn't recommend. The staff was friendly ...Read More

Sorry, it was a totally negative experience.
The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, only one cup of coffee in room, no fridge, no microwave.
This hotel is inconveniently located on a divided highway so that multiple U-turns are necessary when arriving or leaving. The entire facility reeks of cigarette smoke, there are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, and only one single-cup coffee packag...Read More

It was a total dump. Not what I expected from Holiday Inn at all.

I asked for non-smoking and was put into smoking. I asked to change rooms and got one that had cockroaches in it. Most of the lamps did not work. Not "business traveler" friendly at all. When I checked out the manager passed me in the hall and asked if th...Read More

Location.
The hotel was a loser. Poor lighting. Room didn't get made up till late in day. Poor water pressure. Barely hot water. Sparse furniture.
I would never again stay at a Holiday Inn.
