Hotel Description

The Real Palacio Hotel, built in 2003, joins the concepts of a XXI century 5 stars Hotel, with the story of an old Lisbon in the Palace area. The Palace was rebuilt with the same design of the first construction, features 12 room's with an epoque fashion decor, including all the facilities such as mini bar, pay TV, cable TV, internet, hair dryer, telephone, robe, 24 hour room service. The Hotel area features 135 rooms, including suites, rooms especially designed for the disabled, non smoking rooms, and anti-allergic rooms, amongst other innovations. It also features 2 Bars, Health Club, Business Centre, and facilities for Conferences and Banquets with capacity of up to 400 people, as well as private garage.

Location Description

Located in the city centre, in the Financial district, surrounded by the mos timportant shopping centres such as Monumental and El Corte Ingles. The Rea lPalacio Hotel is served by all public transports, like Sao Sebastiao subway station at sw and Picoas subway station at nw, the bus 115 and 46 in Antoni oAugusto de Aguiar Av. and 44, 45, 83 and 91 in Republica Av. goes directly to the old city. In the Old City at more or less 2 km from the Hotel, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city from the S.Jorge Castle or in Bairro Alto area from the Sao Pedro de Alcantara garden. Collecting the tram 28 in Comercio Square enjoy a typical ride for the hills of Lisbon, from Graca to Ajuda, going through Alfama, Bica and Bairro Alto. Or in Figueira Square you have the tram 15 who drives you to the cultural area of Belem, where you can visit the Jeronimos Monestery from the XVI century, the Maritime Museum, with a great collection of old pieces from the Portuguese discoveries. In the same area you can enjoy the Belem cultural center, always with expositions or theatre show's, the original "pasteis de Belem" factory ( typical cookies from Lisbon) or the great monument to XV Century Portuguese

The Restaurant do Real The other perfect option, more informal than the Guarda do Real, offers all days a Buffet lunch with all the Portuguese dishes. The Faia More than half a century of an existence always side by side with great names of the Fado song, along with a dedicated respect for the rich and varied Portuguese gastronomy makes from O Faia a place impossible not to talk about in what Lisbon tradition is concerned. The Adega Machado The first and one of the most touristy fado houses, this is still a good place to hear traditional Portuguese music. It functions as a restaurant, but at 9:15 pm the lights are dimmed and everybody hushes to listen to the various singers.
