Formerly known as the GuestHouse Hotel -Hotel CURRENT is the newest edition to the city of Long Beach. We embrace the Southern California beach lifestyle by highlighting hand painted artwork featured by local artists in many areas of the property and through the celebration of the local arts. Hotel CURRENT has renovated its outdoor heated pool area -meeting space -lobby -exterior building and landscaping. 143 Guest rooms are provided with in-room coffee makers -refrigerators -work-desk area with data ports giving all the conveniences of home for both leisure and business travelers. 100 guestrooms are currently being upgraded to a boutique style product featuring contemporary furniture -hand painted artwork -luxurious shower and vanity area -and flat screen TVs. Friendly staff, easy access to attractions.Needed more seating for complimentary breakfast.Clean hotel, staff was very friendly. Location was great for attractions I was interested in.

Breakfast offerings were excellent.N/AI have no complaints of hotel. It was excellent. I was unhappy though because I had made reservations at a hotel in a nearby city by mistake. Had hoped to get most of my money back when I changed hotels.

The continental breakfast was alright and rooms were kept nicely.Parking was horrible, tub was dirty, floors were very dirty, not enough lights, and air conditioner left a bad smell.I was looking for a cheap, convenient place to stay while attending a comic convention. Close to our destination, CSULB.Did not feel particularly safe as our room was in the back.It actually was pretty nice for a 2 star motel. However; we will probably not do 2 stars again. Did not know what to expect as this was our first time and our first stay in Long Beach. Should be frequenting there as our daughter will be attending CSULB.
