Hotel Description:
Once a stately mansion bought by a Mexican general for his fiancée, InterContinental Presidente Merida blends original Art Nouveau style and thoroughly modern conveniences. The hotel is a short distance from the Siglo XXI Convention Centre, the Governor’s Palace and the Cathedral. Worth the drive are Izamal and the ancient Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza.

Mas de 30: Tip: If you want, you can get up on stage and sing along with the musicians. An unusual lounge bar, with exquisite canapés to accompany the well-mixed drinks and an entertaining live music show mixing current hits with music from the 1970s and 80s
La Bella Época: Tip: A balcony table upstairs is perfect for a romantic dinner. The best Yucatecan restaurant in the downtown area, with both authentic food and an authentic atmosphere.
La Tratto: Tip: Two-for-one meals on Monday, two-for-one pasta on Wednesday. Delicious Italian food is served to a consistent standard here. There's a terrace for al fresco dining, with music from both DJs and live bands.

La Pigua: Tip: Try the shrimp with coconut. The Mérida branch of a small chain, this is the best seafood restaurant in town. Talented chef Wilberth Chichin has been here since it opened in 2000. The restaurant is only 5 minutes from the hotel.

Nectar: Tip: Wine-lovers will appreciate the best cellar in the city. Probably Merida's best restaurant. It's owned by two chefs who create wonderful international dishes with a Yucatecan accent.
Trotter's: Tip: Try their Caesar Salad - nothing like a normal caesar salad, but very tasty all the same. Beautiful modernist conversion of an old mansion offers a dramatic see-and-be-seen setting to sample their excellent fusion menu. Spectacular garden, too.
El Consulado Tequila Bar: With a reputation for mixing the best cocktails, serving the best tequilas and a wide mexican wine selection, El Consulado Bar is the perfect gathering place. We are the only bar in Merida with the T certification from the Maestros Tequileros, for we serv
