The location was perfect.
The restaurant was horrible for the cost of the meal.This hotel was in a nice location and the room was accommodating as well. Lounge. The restaurant is the only area which could be described as romantic.Rooms are small and have that motel feel with drab decoration.The bed was much smaller in size and had no wow factor. On a plus side the restaurant in very comfortable with good food with a great ambiance.

Beautiful beach location, fireplace & common area wonderful.under construction/not stated when booking.Great location, beautiful beach, pet friendly, nice rooms. I would stay here again & would recommend to my family & friends.

It overlooked the beach.The noisy construction ruined our anniversary.We found out about the construction too late to change hotels. It was noisy above the sound of the waves. The hotel is rundown. The coffee maker had bare wires and the windows don't open.

We stayed on the beach side and we saw the watched the sun go down, the most beautiful view!Room service was awful and the food was cold when it got to our room.We have been coming to stay at the Monterey Beach Hotel for many years and we go home relaxed everytime. Staff very responsive when we needed anything at all.The door lock malfunctioned and we were locked out of the room for a little while.Phenomenal! The Lobby looking out at the ocean. I could sit there all day.I was surprised that I had to pay for parking. In the past, parking was free.The hotel was just what I was looking for,on the beach, reasonably priced, a restaurant on the premises, and all at a reasonable rate.
