Located on the famed Golden Mile section of Myrtle Beach The Caravelle Resort is a nine building 600 unit property featuring oceanfront and ocean view hotel room style efficiencies one bedroom suites and two and three bedroom condominiums and underwent an USD 8 Million Renovation in the Resort Building in 2007. All rooms feature full kitchens with stove oven refrigerator and microwave as well as an in room safe iron and ironing board and private balconies. All two and three bedroom condominiums offer washer and dryers.The Caravelle offers indoor and outdoor pools and whirlpools a heated outdoor lazy river and even a wild water pool with bucket dumps and fountains. The Caravelle has an on site restaurant serving a daily breakfast buffet a coffee and martini bar oceanfront pool bar and grill and an ice cream and sandwich shop. Other amenities include a convenience market exercise room game room and FREE wireless internet in many of the guest rooms as well as in several public areas. The Caravelle is the birthplace of the Myrtle Beach Golf Package and is an exclusive member of the famed Dunes Golf and Beach Club.

Upgraded room was very nice.
N/AUnhappy with original room-shabby carpet/hallways, room, check-in across the street, not enough parking. But staff was helpful in upgrading our room to the renovated section which was very nice-new looking.

The hotel had a restaurant and lounge. The staff was very helpful and friendly.The hot tub was not closed in.The hotel has upgraded and updated from the last time I stayed their about 4 years ago. I will recommend this hotel to a friends, single and with children.

Overall Rating:
Newly decorated rooms are nice.Desk staff and management had a "do not care" attitude.We have stayed here for several years. Will not stay again. Beware of rates shown on internet and rates quoted over phone. We were charged more than quoted. Desk clerk and management could have cared less.
