I liked that it was in midtown Manhattan.
I disliked that it was dingy, weird, nasty and poorly maintained.Awful, we stayed only a short time and then left. I was shocked and dismayed by the room we were given. Very small room, poorly maintained, dingy, run down, strange taste in decoration. The staff is very low class.

Style, cool, interesting guests, unusual, art work.One elevator, parking far from hotel.This is a cool, funky place with a rich history, interesting guests, and original atmosphere. It is more for the tourist than the business traveler and would not be great for young kids. The staff was delightful and extremely efficient.
