Hotel Description:

Elegance reveals itself at the Prince de Galles, Paris. Built in 1928 during the Art Deco period, this hotel is a legendary place capturing the essence and mystery of Paris. A gold leaf chandelier and marble floors extend a stylish welcome in the majestic lobby. The Prince de Galles, Paris flawlessly blend Parisian elegance with warm hospitality. Located in the heart of Paris on Avenue George V, it is the ideal place from which to explore the renowned boutiques of the "Golden Triangle" formed by the Avenue Champs Elysees, the Avenue George V and the Avenue Montaigne and also some of the most famous cultural landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Host a meeting or special event at this prime Parisian location. The meeting rooms can accommodate up to 200 attendees for every type of event and the catering teams are trained to ensure all technical, practical and particular needs are met. Experience the refined and creative French cuisine signed Benoist Rambaud, amongst soaring ceilings and dramatic glass doors, which lead onto a magical patio and courtyard, at Restaurant Le Jardin des Cygnes. Try the English style "Regency Bar" and its business ambiance at lunch time or the adventurous cocktails in a harmonious decoration made of leather, wood and velvet in the evening hours. The 138 guest rooms and 30 suites offer indigenous French design and intimacy. Muted tones of blue, white and yellow Toile de Jouy patterns typify the elegance and style of the hotel. Seduction, luxury and intimacy reign at Prince de Galles, Paris – a palace in the heart of Paris., For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel., The hotel is currently closed until Autumn 2012 for a complete and meticulous refurbishment.

Delicate for kids.
The staff there is great! So friendly, becoming personal and knowing your Name and who you are. Great with children, and older guests traveling especially on leisure trips. The rooms are awesome, calming with a great view. Everything is very delicate, but...Read More

Location near the Champs Elysees.
The accommodations were tired, and in need of updating.
The hotel is located in an upscale neighborhood, ripe for shopping and eating. The Rooms appeared to be developed in the mid-20th century, and hopefully with Star wood now overseeing, the Heavenly beds will begin appearing.

$40/day for Wi-Fi??? Insane.
For Paris, this is a good 4-star hotel. Location is great, if you like the 8th/Champs-Elysees area. The staff is very friendly. My room as good size, the air conditioning worked, and the water pressure was adequate. However, as can be expected of a 4-star...Read More

Reception and concierge staff not particularly friendly.

Great housekeeping service and concierge.
Elevators too small, food too expensive.
Hotel is clean and quaint. The reception area could be a little more warm and inviting, although it is still nice. The outside of the hotel could use some brightening up.
