Hotel Description:

Since the day it opened in 1927, the Hassayampa Inn has been a sought-after retreat for travelers desiring attentive service in a charming and relaxed environment. The hand-painted ceiling beams; wall murals; rich glazed tiling; etched and stained glass windows and doors all combine to create an atomosphere that is both warm and inviting. Sit in the courtyard and enjoy a coffee in Prescott's temperate weather. When the weather cools sit by a roaring fire in the Lobby with a libation or listen to live jazz every night in the Cowboy Bar. Hassayampa is a Yavapai word meaning, "River that runs upside down." The Hassayampa River runs mostly underground. -Downtown Prescott features - Americas Hometown Courthouse Square--The Inn is less than a block from the square and is walking distance to many shops, galleries, antique stores and more.

Carpet needed cleaning; bedding needs to be updated so old blankets are enclosed in sheets and comforters are not used.

Overall Rating:
I did not like anything.
There was and elevator that could only be operated by staff and I was on the third floor.
There was no AC and the room was very hot and smelled old and musty. There was mold in the bathroom shower! I had to leave because I was having a difficult time breathing. I'm very allergic to mold.

Quaint art deco lobby.
Very small rooms, very noisy.
Quaint elegance, but take your earplugs if you plan to sleep. Too much slope to shower floor and no grab bar.

Historical and location.
No free breakfast.
Comfortable place to stay, friendly staff - great hotel for a simple weekend get-a-away but don't expect any frills. Definitely a historic hotel. Probably not the kid-friendliest hotel.
