Hotel Description:

Nestled under the giant live oaks between the parks and the commercial area of the historic oceanfront Village and Lighthouse District you will find our new, unique Inn. In building the Inn, the owners not only saved the 1930 beach cottage, but they modeled the Inn to fit the existing exterior of the cottage. The Inn was built around the giant Live Oaks, and with careful planning they saved every tree. In the process, environmentally friendly grass pave material replaced the concrete parking. Yes, you will be parking on the grass and it is ok. Step back into time when you step into our main house to start your adventure into the Island*s historic past. The Village Inn and Pub is modeled after a historic 1930 beach cottage, which has been carefully restored as the center of our landmark Inn. The beach cottage, which serves as our main guesthouse, features an antique English Pub made of solid mahogany. You will also find the original stone fireplace and various antiques and treasures. The small and intimate guesthouse and Inn is the perfect setting for your wedding, reunion, business meeting or any private function. Your complimentary continental breakfast will be served in our historic guesthouse every morning of your stay. Our courtyard pool is nestled beneath the old oak trees, and invites you to relax after a wonderful day of enjoying St. Simons. Located in the heart of the Village and the Lighthouse district, you are within walking distance of many things to do. Shop to your heart*s content at the many quaint shops, or enjoy dining at any of the great restaurants. If you just simply want to sit and relax by the pier, there are plenty of swings and benches to do just do that. There is nothing that will make you forget your cares as much as the beauty of the sun rising and the outline of the many ships going out to sea for the day. During the day you can hear the infectious laughter of the children playing in the park, be part of the hustle and bustl

Very close to the main drag.
Drunks from the bar pissing in the bushes outside your room.
The hotel is quaint and very close to the beach and shops. The hotel room was clean and smartly decorated but very small. The pool is very small but refreshing. There is a bar that is part of this small hotel, like a small Irish Pub. If was nice and fun w...Read More

Beautiful scenery and comfortable room. Nice bar and people who worked there.
Very close to the street and rooms were a little small.
Overall this is a great hotel that is more suited for a couple traveling together. Great location for the island visitor. The bar was really nice and friendly. Lacking was a kitchen thus there was no room service or place to eat at the hotel. This would n...Read More

Beautiful setting, closeness to shops & beach. Relaxed breakfast by the pool.
Noise. There is no one on-site during evening hours to keep the commotion down. There was a wedding party staying at the Inn while I was there and they partied well I past 3:00 AM, could not reach anyone from the hotel to help.
A beautiful location, clean rooms although a little tight in bathrooms. Within walking distance to most everything on the island. Great breakfast and eating around the pool is a wonderful experience. The staff (when they were there) were very courteous an...Read More

The Village Inn and Suites has a wonderful, quaint, B&B quality in a great location.
As a business traveler even a small cork out room would be nice.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Village Inn. The staff, accommodations and atmosphere were splendid. The island has a wonderful Southern charm - beautiful and very relaxing. Although I was there on business I am already planning on how to get my wife and ...Read More

Quaint, not arranged like an average motel.
Bath a little small, no refrigerator.
Nice place convenient to all aspects of the island, nice appointments in the room, don't plan to store insulin or leftovers from the nearby restaurants, as there is no refrigerator in the room. Romantic setting with cozy feeling for you and your partner.

Everything! Welcoming & excellent staff; sumptuous room with great bed and robes; fabulous continental breakfast; great bartender! Beautiful setting!
My particular room had a view of the street. And the dairy queen across the street.
From the welcoming from the ruses, the personable bar tender as I walked into the lobby at 7:30pm to the farewell I received from the hotel staff as I departed, service was fantastic! The original building, 1935 Spanish stucco architecture, was charming a...Read More
