It is the citys Grand Hotel, and has been the very center of social life since its opening in 1866. In 1988, the hotel was taken over by the Guertler family and complements the Hotel Sacher Wien perfectly. All rooms have been furnished and decorated individually, with much attention to detail. Besides modern amenities, such as wireless internet access, digital TV with flat screens and individually adjustable air conditioning, they feature antique furniture and original paintings. The restaurants, the elegant piano bar and the Cafe Sacher add to its individual character and charm.
