Located close to the city centre and 20 minutes of picturesque drive to the Ranthambhore National Park. Two kilometres away from the railway station. The highlight of taking a trip to Sawai Madhopur is a visit to the Ranthambhore National Park. The National Park encompasses nearly 400 square kilometres of dry deciduous forests. The park derives its name from the fortress of Ranthambhore and is one of the finest habitats in the world for the tiger. Ranthambhore has a remarkably rich and diverse flora and fauna, including 300 varieties of trees, 50 aquatic plants, and more than 100 species of herbs, grasses, and climbers. It also has 272 species of birds and about 30 species of mammals, including Nilgai, Indian Gazelle, Indian Wild Boar, Leopard, and Sambar. The park is closed from July to September every year due to monsoons. The Sawai Madhopur Lodge, spread over 12 acres, was built in the early 1930's by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur for his hunting trips to the jungle of Ranthambhore, which were the favourite hunting grounds of the royal family of Jaipur. The former hunting lodge has an art deco main block with various facilities for leisure, recreation, and entertainment. Guests are requested to make online booking for Safari Rides to Ranthambhore National Park by visiting www.rajasthantourism.gov.in.HOTEL will be unable to make the same on behalf of guests.
