Do not stay at this hotel it was not worth the money. The room was dirty and needed renovations. The room has a nasty odor.

For one and a half stars, this place wasn't too bad to stay at. I basically needed a place to stay for a night before graduation. All I needed was a bed, a bathroom, and an iron. After borrowing a better working iron from the front desk, this hotel met my...Read More

The Red Carpet Inn is minimally adequate for the business traveler who is only looking to stay briefly in Downtown Scranton and for whom convenience of location is a top priority. Rooms are minimally furnished, breakfast is a misnomer, and excessive paper...Read More

This Hotel was a Motel, an inner city motel. Did not feel safe, too many nightly room visits, if you know what I mean. I should get my money back!

Overall Rating:
Hotel is basically clean, in a run down neighborhood, and a bit rundown itself. Staff was fine, if suspicious, wanting deposits on phone calls, etc. Services probably not up to 2 star rating no restaurant. Probably should be downgraded to 1 star.

Great location right downtown, walking distance to Steam town & such. Decent rooms.

Overall Rating:
In the 1st room there was defective heating unit and in the 2nd room the table was so wobbly that it was useless, non-functioning coffee maker, worn out (to the point of exhibiting holes) sheets, wallpaper peeling, questionable plumbing.
