Driving Directions: Traveling North from Mass., RI., Conn. take 95 to Maine Turnpike (95), exit 45 through toll plaza. Take first exit (Rt 114, Maine Mall Rd.). Turn right to second light, turn right. Follow perimeter road to flashing red light. Turn right and hotel is on right. Traveling South, take 95 (Maine Turnpike) same as above.

Location.
Hotel was dirty, noisy, not ready for us to occupy and had shady people hanging around.
I would never stay there again. It was close to the train/airport, however very old and dirty.

No elevator, no coffeemaker in room.
I've stayed here twice this summer; I would rate both visits as satisfactory. Clean, convenient location.

Located close to airport and shopping/dining.
Was not provided coffee maker or non-smoking room; breakfast area poorly maintained.
This motel was not easy to find, but is close to airport. I was not given a non-smoking room. No in-room coffee maker was provided. My children had a difficult time with cable TV service. staff was not helpful or friendly.

The plumbing & the used carpet on the outdoor stairs.

Could not open window for fresh air, had to use air conditioner.
The Econo Lodge in South Portland Maine offers good and basic accommodations suitable for the business traveler and leisure traveler alike.

Clean, lots hot water in the shower and a great location.
The refrigerator not being up on a table too low to the floor.
My husband and I had a very good experience at Econo Lodge, no complaints here! I highly recommend it if you're looking for cleanliness, price and are headed to the mall (because you can walk to it from this motel)!

I was disappointed in this hotel. It was not very clean. The only thing it has going is the good location to shopping, restaurants, and the airport.

Good location and excellent price.
TV did not work in first room but changed room no problem.
Close to Portland ME with easy access to Rt 95 and 295. Right next to Maine Mall for shopping and plenty of restaurants. Great continental breakfast and a super price.
