Restaurant / Dining Information: In Louisiana, eating is a sport and superlative food is standard. The Plantation Dining Room, under the expert direction of Gary Fonseca, our Executive Chef, features fine Louisana cuisine with a menu that specializes in steaks. The Plantation Dining Room is open Monday through Thursday from 700 AM to 900 PM, Friday through Saturday from 700 AM to 1000 PM, and Sunday 700 AM to 500 PM.
Recreation
Recreation Information: PGA Champion and Louisiana native David Toms has designed Carter Plantation's spectacular golf course, an 18 hole,7,049-yard masterpiece that winds through thick stands of pine, live oak, cypress and Tupelo gum trees. Great effort has been made to preserve the plantation's wildlife habitats, and indigenous grasses and plants have been extensively incorporated into the landscaping. We also offer a large outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, and kiddy pool. Coming soon is our 1.5 mile nature trail which winds through cypress swamp land and natural bird and wild life preserves.

From small business retreats to black-tie galas, Carter Plantation offers a variety of catering, facility, and equipment options for any occasion. The Pavilion at Carter Plantation houses a variety of meeting and banquet facilities. The conference room is 220 square feet comfortable for a meeting of 12 or less. Larger meeting space is available for groups of 70 - 100 in our 1300 square foot room. The Atrium will accomodate groups of 250 - 400 in it's spacious 3,750 square foot area. Any of these spaces can be set to suit any function.
