Location Description:
The name Takayama in Japanese language means Tall Mountain and 92.5 percent of it is area is filled with deep forests and very very tall mountains. Takayama is the cradle of Japanese traditions and culture and is located in the heart of Central Japan about 160 km from Nagoya. It is home to the famous Takayama festivals one of it is many festivals celebrating the arrival of spring and autumn and meticulously decorated festive floats are displayed and paraded in the streets.
