Restaurants:

Byblos Caf : Tip: A belly dancer performs on Friday and Saturday nights. Authentic, traditional Lebanese cuisine in an upscale but relaxed setting. Mama's food is good, fresh, and healthy.
Frenchy's Rockaway Grill: Tip: Enjoy a ruben grouper sandwich and a great view over the Gulf of Mexico. Serving local fish caught from the restaurants own boats, this casual beachfront restaurant specializes in grilled, blackened or fried grouper sandwiches.
Gallery Bistro: Tip: The stuffed filet mignon and southern sea bass with crabmeat are terrific. Adventurous and innovative dishes reflect the diverse cooking styles of the Southeast.
Giordano's Pizza: Tip: If you aren't that hungry, try the thin pizza. It uses the same ingredients. Chicago's famous pizza place has brought its award-winning deep-dish pizzas to Tampa.
La Teresita: Tip: Enjoy fresh Cuban toast and cafe con leche for breakfast. This busy Cuban restaurant has a separate cafeteria section for quick counter service. The dishes are the same in both areas.
Lauro Ristorante Italiano: Tip: The tiramisu is the best in town. Chef has been serving wonderful northern Italian cuisine for 17 years. The pasta and bread are made on the premises daily.
Wine Exchange: Tip: During pleasant weather, the patio is the place to dine. A trendy spot specializing in Mediterranean dishes with American and Pacific Rim influences. One of the most popular dishes is the lobster ravioli.
Boizao Steakhouse: Tip: The fixed-price menu comes with repeat visits to the salad buffet. This Brazilian churrascaria (steakhouse) offers 14 different roasted meats and an extensive salad bar.
Caf du Frain: Tip: The curved wine bar is perfect for a drink with a view. Located on Harbour Island overlooking downtown Tampa, this restaurant is known for its great waterfront views.
Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant: Tip: The perfect setting for a romantic evening. Bathed in candlelight, this tapas bar is the 'see and be seen' location after 5pm. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
Chateau France: Tip: Try the bouillabaisse or escargots baked in puff pastry. Fine French cuisine is served in this Victorian mansion, located in the historic district of downtown St Petersburg. There are outdoor tables on the veranda.
Columbia Restaurant: Tip: Watch a live flamenco dance show Monday through Saturday for an additional $6 per person. Florida's oldest restaurant has been family owned and operated for over 100 years. Serves authentic Spanish/ Cuban cuisine; some say the best in Tampa Bay.
Restaurant BT: Tip: Vegetarian dishes are always available. Influenced by traditional Vietnamese and classic French cuisine. Authentic, healthy and fresh.
Six Tables: Tip: The duckling, beef tenderloin and seafood specialties are good, but try the 'out of ordinary' entrees. Always top Zagat-rated, this unique dining concept offers a six-course, fixed-price menu. Its lobster bisque is the best. Fixed Price Menu.
Yacht Starship Dining (Cruise): Tip: The Sunday cruising brunch is the most generous in Tampa. Tampa Bay's premier dining yacht offers live entertainment, four-star cuisine and a million-star view.
717 South: Tip: The miso-and-sake catch of the day cannot be topped! Slick, chic, New York-style restaurant in SoHo frequented by the beautiful people. It serves a unique fusion of Pacific Rim and Italian food.
Bern's Steak House: Tip: Take a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. A glorious experience awaits: perfectly matured steaks, a vast collection of wine, and a room dedicated to desserts.
Donatello: Tip: Simply the most romantic restaurant in Tampa. Their motto of 'quality and tradition' underscores everything, from your first sip of wine to the must-try Grand Marnier souffle.
Mangrove's: Tip: Entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy the finest seafood in SoHo. There are two levels of indoor and outdoor dining and a lounge with a 60ft stained glass bar.
Mise en Place: Tip: The swanky lounge has a happy hour, perfect for after-work drinks. What began in 1986 as a small catering company is, today, a premier West Coast Florida restaurant.
Oystercatcher's: Tip: The catches come from near and far, from local black grouper to wild salmon. Enjoy a drink on the deck overlooking Old Tampa Bay before dining on freshly caught seafood.
Parkshore Grill: Tip: Definitely a place to see and be seen Modern American food in a beautifully designed spot, with indoor or outdoor tables overlooking Straub Park and the Vinoy Yacht Basin.
Salt Rock Grill: Tip: Patio, dock, upper or lower-level dining is available. The drive to Indian Shores on the Gulf of Mexico is reason enough to dine here, and the fish is great too.
Shula's No Name Lounge: Take time in between meetings and conference events to relax in our chic No Name Lounge. With five plasma-screen televisions, our lounge is the perfect spot in Tampa for catching up on sporting events and entertaining clients or friends.

Nice bed.
Cleaning staff was very loud in the morning.
The hotel was okay - nice, but not great. The morning started out with slamming doors - each morning. The walls were a bit thin and the couple in the next room were banging on the wall.
