Hotel Description:
The Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center offers a unique experience nestled among the buildings of the Georgetown University Campus. Located in the center of the famous Georgetown Historic district it is around the corner from the bustling streets of shopping restaurants and bars. The well-known Washington D.C. The Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center offers amenities and services to suit the needs of business family and leisure travelers. The 146 guestrooms are nicely appointed with the amenities and services expected by today's traveler. A state-of-the-art conference center is contained within the hotel and offers extensive banquet facilities accommodating up to 1680 people for a reception. There are 14 meeting rooms totaling 13500 sq ft and a ballroom that boasts 10500 sq ft when used in its entirety. Should you need breakouts with a smaller general session the ballroom can be broken down into 8 different configurations along with smaller individual conference rooms surrounding the ballroom for additional breakouts. We are under currently under renovation and will be so until April 2nd. Also part of that is our food outlets. We will not have any of our on property food outlets available until January 19th.

Price was reasonable and the shuttle service to Dupont Circle made the experience acceptable. The room was truly a conference center, almost like a dorm. Nothing but a desk chair and very poor lighting. We went to visit the Washington museums and sights, so the hotel was only a place to sleep. Don't expect more than that. It was moderate, which I think is a bit of a stretch.

N/A Way too far away from everything I need to get to in D.C., and way too far away from any Metro stop. It isn't within the Foggy. In my opinion, It isn't a hotel that can fairly be described as within the Foggy bottom area. It is in a really weird area -- sandwiched into a large hospital complex.
