could use a bit more housekkeping in the common areas
This is a good hotel for short term business travel. A little more effort in housekeeping of the common areas would make a big difference here.

the pool was under repair and we asked for a repair did not get

Hotel staff did not want to accommodate a 2 queen bed room, though very little occupancy.
