Hotel Description:

Lakelawn was built in 1864 by William Dodge Lovitt a ship owner and merchant in the Town of Yarmouth. It became a Lodge prior to 1949 and was known for its lobster suppers and strawberry shortcake. In 1957 the house was rolled back to its present foundation on logs brought in especially for the the purposes for B.C. and the motel was built. It continues to be a comfortable and affordable place to stay and we thank you for staying with us. The Lakelawn is anchored by a stately mansion built in 1864 with character and charm. This restored historic home is where the 4 BandB rooms are. The Lakelawn has 30 attractive drive up units. All our rooms have a private bath and color/cable television. The Lakelawn is across from Lake Milo and is only three minutes from the Ferry Terminal This landmark motel is also at Yarmouths historic golden horse intersection the beginning of both the Evangeline and Lighthouse Trails. Route 101 and 103 are both easily accessible. Visit Yarmouths historic sites do a walking tour on your own and enjoy the safety of our community with its many walking trails or let us arrange a personal tour of the area attractions for you.there is so much to see and enjoy.
